Didn't we evolve?
•"Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture." Psalms 100:3
•"For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is , and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." Exodus 20:11
•"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Genesis 1:27
Did God create dinosaurs?
•"Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him. Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about. Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares." Job 40:15-24
The above is a description of a brachiosaur. Neither an elephant or a hippopotamus have a tail like a cedar.
•"Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?" Job 41:1
The above is likely a large sea creature of the plesiosaur kind.
How could Noah fit all the animals on the Ark?
•"And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female." Genesis 6:19
•"Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female." Genesis 7:2
•"And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life." Genesis 7:15
•"All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land , died." Genesis 7:22
Only animals that breathed through the nostrils had to go on board, not insects, plants, and obviously, not water dwelling creatures. Also, he took on board different kinds of animals, not different species. There are about 8000 genera of animals that qualified, including extinct genera. These were going by pairs, so at least 16,000 animals had to be on board. Only about 11% of these would have been much larger than a sheep at adult size, making the median size of all animals on the ark about the size of a rat. For the animals that are quite large as adults, he would have taken their young or babies rather than the adults. The largest dinosaur egg is about 18 inches long, and the smallest is the size of a tennis ball. There are estimated to be less than 700 different dinosaur genera.
The ark measured at least 450 x 75 x 45 feet to give a volume of 1.52 million cubic feet or 43,200 cubic meters. This is about the size of 522 standard railroad stock cars, each of which can hold 240 sheep. Using the average size of a cage for the average size of the 16,000 animals to be 20 x 20 x12 inches, the 16,000 animals would only occupy 42,000 cubic feet or 14.4 stock cars. Most of the animals were 1 pair male and female, while the clean animals would be by sevens pairs. Let's say that 50 % were "clean animals" (a extremely high and generous estimate), so instead of taking up 7.2 stock cars, these would take up about 50.4 stock cars. So in total, all the animals would take up 57.6 out of 522 stock cars. This would leave a huge amount of space for food. Even if the cages were not stacked, the animals would only have occupied less than half the floor space of the ark, which had three decks. Food and water would only take up about 20 % (15% for food, and 5%) for water. (see Woodmorappe, Noah's Ark: A feasibility Study (El Cajon, CA: Institute for Creation Research, 1997), as quoted in The Answers Book, Ed. Don Batten (Creation Science Foundation Ltd.,1990).
If there was a big flood, where is all the water now?
•"Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away. They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth." Psalm 104:6-9
The water is now in the oceans. Before the flood of Noah, the mountains were high hills. After the flood, the mountains were increased in height and the ocean basins formed. If the earth's surface was smoothly flattened out, the land would be covered by water to a depth of approximately 2 miles.
Should we be vegetarians?
•"Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." Genesis 9:3
•"And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb." Luke 24:41-42
